So we have a surprise. That is if everything works out anyway.
We woke up bright and early Saturday morning the 31st of January 2026 and left out around 10am, to make a 5ish hour drive to the other side of Mobile Alabama.
Why you ask?
Well if you know me at all.
Of course it was to look at a horse!
Now that's all the details you going to get on this horse until everything is finalized lol. Suspenseful ain't it. 😅😅
And what i will tell you is that this trip was also for my birthday, which is Thursday the 5th. After looking at the horses and riding in what felt like 5 degrees. Telling you I was like a frozen popsicle!! The thing you do for the love and addiction of Horses i tell you. 🤣🤣
But wait it gets better....
After that we went to the hotel and checked in and I somehow thought i was a great idk to go see the marti gras parade that night in mobile. Yes ik I may not be spelling that right, I went to Nettleton iykyk. Anyway I somehow convinced rusty to take me. Keep in mind the sun has went down now so there for its colder. The parade schedule said there was two parades that night one at 6:30 and one at 7. We got there at around 6:40pm and walked what felt like forever. To see 5 floats go by because they started early and was done. On the other hand we got hit in the head luke a dozen times with moon pie boxes and beads.
This was my first mardi gras parade and I would really like to see the one in new Orleans one day but I've heard it gets really bad down there idk tho. If you have any stories let me know them lol.
Any walked back to the truck literally unable to feel limbs anymore. But all in all it was a great experience and I hope to be able to watch the full parade next time in hopefully a little warmer weather too.
After that we drove back to fair hope and eat at the kingfishers restaurant 😋 and man it was good. But if you on a budget I will say its a little pricey. But it was my birthday so slerge away baby ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Went back to the hotel slept in a little the next morning still ended up leaving around 10am to make that long ass drive back but it was a fun little week
Yes ik im crazy for driving that far just look at a horse lol but idk 🤪🤪
